Artisans Omega Custom magic starts with master artisans who craft your cabinetry with the care and attention you demand. From the mills where individual pieces of the finest wood are selected to the final shipping process, each member of the Omega team is dedicated to providing you with an exceptional product that will last a lifetime. Doors Omega Custom Doors are crafted with strict tolerances for humidification to reduce the tendency for warping and shrinkage. All door material is selected from only the finest hardwoods to ensure even application of finish, superior strength and durability, and classic appeal. Besides the fact that all Omega door styles are simply gorgeous, they are built to last. Drawers Omega Custom Drawers have functional as well as lovely detailing. All drawer fronts are solid wood (with the exception of MDF on opaque finishes to prevent finish distressing) and are attached to the drawer box with wood screws. This allows easy installation of hardware and drawer adjustments if needed. The drawer boxes themselves are crafted from closed wood grain with sides that are 5/8” thick. All drawer boxes have dovetail joints and are sealed with a catalyzed varnish to protect the wood from accidental spills. Drawers have a lifetime warranty that matches the rest of the cabinetry. Glides & Frames Drawer glides from Omega Custom are simply a treat. You will never have to worry about a guide giving you any trouble. Glides carry a 100 pound weight limit and Soft Close is a standard Omega feature. The frames of your Omega Custom Cabinetry are constructed from ¾” solid alder, cherry, maple, oak, quartersawn oak, pecan, red birch, or walnut and are joined by dowel pins or hardened steel screws. Tops & Floors The tops and floors of your Omega Cabinetry are ½” plywood with hardwood veneers on both sides. The sides of your Omega cabinets are ¾” plywood or MDO with select hardwood veneers. All finished sides will match the face frames of your cabinetry. All interiors are birch or maple and are stained and finished to the exacting standards as the exterior of the cabinet. Contrasting interiors are also available upon request. The back of your Omega cabinet is ¼” plywood which is secured by rabbet joint and metal fasteners. Shelving Shelving of your Omega Custom cabinet is design to prevent bowing over time, as well as being a beautiful piece to look at. Shelves are ¾” thick MDF that is veneered on both sides with maple or birch and banded on the front with ¼” hardwood band. Shelves are always fully adjustable unless specified. If you prefer, you may order your Omega cabinetry with veneer core plywood, or as solid wood shelving as well. Durable Finish The finish of your Omega Custom Cabinetry is gorgeous, durable, and simply the best there is. Your cabinets are first had sanded to prepare them for staining. A wiping stain or toner is then applied. |
